The PLPT Water Quality Program strives to implement projects that support short and long-term goals of protecting Tribal waters. In addition, these projects support the mission statement of the Natural Resources Department to:

"...be committed in the protection of natural/cultural resources and community members within the exterior boundaries of the Pyramid Lake Indian Reservation, while protecting and enhancing natural resources for multiple uses and biological diversity using an ecosystem management approach."
